Some of you may know, I moved to Cuenca, Ecuador some four years ago. Like many in the country, I was shocked by the devastation of the April 16, 2016 earthquake. The expat writing community of Ecuador joined with authors from around the world to write “Friends in Foreign Places: An Expat Anthology, Complete Works – Volume 1-5”. The book is a wonderful collection of articles/stories/poems by 36 writers about expat friendships and cross cultural exchange, spearheaded by my friend, author Scarlett Braden.
All work (writing, editing, publishing, cover design, and art) was donated and all royalties from the book will go to the Proyecto Saman Canoa (http://www.proyectosaman.com/web/home.php) and Hearts of Gold Foundation charities working on EARTHQUAKE RELIEF in Ecuador. Proyecto Saman is helping the people of Canoa (on the coast of Ecuador) rebuild. The Hearts of Gold Foundation provides valuable ongoing help with earthquake relief as well as many other projects.
Many of the authors contributing stories to the collection are local authors in Cuenca, Ecuador. The Complete Works in eBook format will be $5.99 USD. Although you can purchase each volume separately for $3.99 USD, why would you, when you can get all 5 volumes together in one book for only $5.99 USD?! Paperback will also be available in U.S., Canada and Europe. This version includes all 5 Volumes and will be $19.99 USD.
